The GenBots LDR Light Sensor Module utilizes a high-sensitivity cadmium sulfide photoresistor whose electrical resistance decreases with increasing ambient illumination. Integrated with an LM393 comparator circuit and sensitivity adjustment potentiometer, it triggers automatic night lamps, garden solar lights, and optical line tracking.
