The GenBots IR Obstacle Avoidance Sensor uses a matched pair of infrared transmitting and receiving diodes. When an obstacle reflects the emitted infrared light, the receiving phototransistor conducts, tripping the onboard LM393 comparator and illuminating an onboard indicator LED. Features a multi-turn trimmer to adjust detection distance between 2cm and 30cm.
